What is Weekend of the Cross?

Weekend of the Cross worksiteW.O.C. is a Christ-driven mission opportunity offered by the Shreveport District each year to youth (completed grades 6-12) who feel a calling to serve Christ. The goal of W.O.C. is to spread the love and grace of Jesus Christ to those who are in need of help. W.O.C. uses repair and maintenance opportunities as a doorway to share the Good News of the Gospel. While at the four-day event, youth experience unconditional giving like that of a servant. They will also experience dynamic Bible study, evening worship, and planned evening activities to encourage fellowship!

shine

‘You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.     - - Matthew 5:14-16
